01 Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Lookup about your use of the Lookup app and this website. By downloading or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Lookup.

02 Who can use Lookup

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lookup. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to agree to these terms.

03 Your license

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Lookup on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

04 Blocking and Screen Time

Lookup uses Apple's Screen Time framework to shield the apps and categories you choose, according to the rules you set, including Strict Mode. Blocking depends on iOS and your device settings, and works within what Apple's framework allows. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot guarantee that blocking or screen-time data will always be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free. Lookup is a tool to support your own choices, not a guarantee of behavior.

05 Health data

If you use a Health Goal rule, Lookup reads activity data such as steps or exercise minutes from Apple Health on your device, only to check whether your goal is met. Lookup is not a medical or fitness product and does not provide medical advice. Do not rely on it for any health decision.

07 Apple App Store terms

The app is licensed, not sold, to you. Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control and as the App Store Usage Rules allow. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Lookup. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. For the full Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement, see apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

08 Acceptable use

Please use Lookup lawfully and as intended. Do not attempt to break, bypass, or disable its blocking features in ways that harm others, interfere with the app's security, or use the app to break any law. We may suspend access that abuses the service or Apple's frameworks.

09 Privacy

We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy. In short, your Screen Time and Health data stay on your device, and we keep only a small account profile. We do not sell your personal data.

10 Disclaimer

Lookup is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that it will meet a specific outcome for your screen time.

11 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lookup and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Lookup in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

12 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Lookup is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law that protects you as a consumer requires otherwise.

13 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we will note it in the app. Continuing to use Lookup after a change means you accept the updated terms.
